Select from one, two or three bedroom apartments or the generous family-sized three and four bedrooms villas, all set amongst lush tropical gardens with fantastic facilities.
Coolum Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast is an extremely family-friendly holiday destination. There are plenty of awesome activities to keep kids entertained all day long!
Our top 10 activities with kids in tow are:
1. Beach activities for everyone
Only a short walking distance of 50 metres across the road is Coolum's beautiful beach that stretches for kilometres. On the northern end there is a safe patrolled section of beach that is tended by lifeguards and is the best spot to swim. Otherwise try your luck at bodyboarding or surfing along the section of beach north of the patrolled area. Build a sandcastle in the soft golden sand, try hunting for crabs and other marine life in the rock pools, throw a fishing line in straight off the beach or take a gentle stroll along the shoreline.
2. Walk or cycle the boardwalk & pathways
Coolum has a great coastal pathway that traces the beachfront, taking you up headlands for majestic coastal views and into coastal rainforest that is abundant with greenery and birdlife.
This challenging walk up the iconic Mount Coolum through rainforest and up many stairs, until you reach the rocky section near the apex, is fully worthwhile for the 180 degree views you will enjoy from the top. You will see the Sunshine Coast in its entirety from south to north and out to the lush green hinterland in the west.
4. Learn to surf or SUP
A holiday in the surfing mecca of Coolum is the perfect place to learn how to surf, or brush up on your existing skills. The ideal way to learn the basics of surfing is to book a lesson or two with a qualified surfing school.
5. Fun at Aqua Park Coolum
Have an absolute blast at the world's largest and funnest Aqua Park - right here in Coolum! Aqua Park Coolum is a massive water play area covering a huge area, that is roughly 100 meters by 70 meters in a fresh water, tea-tree tinted lake. The Aqua Park boasts a wide array of inflatable fun items for everyone’s enjoyment. Coolum Aqua Park is located 60 Junction Drive Coolum, inside the OzSki Resort Complex.
6. A day out at one of Sunshine Coast's big four attractions
Select from one of these fantastic attractions during your stay in Coolum that have a broad array of family friendly activities:

Love a road trip? Jump in the car and set out for the day to Noosa. Check out the pristine Noosa River, explore the Noosa National Park, grab a bite to eat and do some shopping in Hastings Street or having a swim or surf on Noosa Main Beach.
8. Shop at Eumundi Markets
